MANTHAN (मंथन)

Manthan (मंथन) means churning or stirring.

The above picture shows churning of the sea or समुद्रमंथन that brought forth various wonders from the sea including the poison (हलाहल) & of course, the elixir (अमृत). You may have seen the process of churning the buttermilk that results in bringing out the butter.

The word Manthan also means deep pondering over something especially for acquisition of knowledge. This place is for such explorations of various topics – you are all welcome to participate and enjoy this explorative journey for discussions and self-inquiry. As stated below, the spirit of inquiry is critical when it comes to study of any concept :

पुराणमित्येव न साधु सर्वं न चापि काव्यं नवमित्यवद्यम् ।
